The wood spacers shown are MIDWEST PRODUCTS CO, INC., #8001 Architechural modeling basswood strips cut to 5/8" long. The wood strips are .0208" x .0312" cross section. The black "rope" is fine sewing thread from JoAnn Fabrics. The tubes are held together with a tiny drop of superglue.
